Job Summary:

The Production Machine Operator will safely control various machines and equipment involved in production.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain tools, equipment, supplies and work areas.
Assist in shipping and receiving of materials, tallying, identification, records and information.
Operating and Set-up the machine.
Fit, align, and adjust the components.
Working with hand and power tools to make adjustments.
Lifting up to 50lbs
Set up and operate machines to clean, cut, cook, smoke, brine, dehydrate or otherwise process products
Set up and operate machines to can, bag, box or otherwise package products
Check products and packaging for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards and perform corrective machine adjustments as required
Record production information such as quantity, weight, date and type of products packaged
Setup machine as required by drawing specifications
Determine product dimensions, tooling, and to plan operational sequence by studying work orders, or machining instructions.
Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
Inspect or measure product through the use of measuring instruments to ensure conformance.

Requirements:

 Education background in engineering, technician, instrumental & electrical field and any experience of working on a production line is required.
Experience utilizing hand tools-drills, peaveys, chainsaws, wizards, hammers, tape measures etc.
First Aid Certification, an asset
Always demonstrate a strong focus on safety
Support a respectful environment and works well in a team setting.
Must possess basic math skills.
Ability to lift 50-75lbs continually
Able to learn and acquire new skills
